The Obvious Path

Wednesday, July 02, 2014

"Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do  not rely on your own insight or understanding.  In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge him, and he will direct and make straight and plain your paths."  Proverbs 3:5-6, Amplified

Thank you, Lord, that as I look to you and seek to follow your ways, you will reveal your plan to me! I don't always know why certain things happen in my life, but you do.  You see and know so much more than I ever can! I am leaning in to be close to you, Lord, and trusting you with all my heart.  I want to follow you as you want me to.  I know that the closer I am to you, the more obvious you will make my path and so each day I come to you, submitting to your rule. There may be bumps along the way, but I am trusting you to direct my feet.  Thank you for your faithfulness.  Thank you for your plan for my life!

In Jesus' name, amen.

  2. The thought of "leaning in" towards God and His Word has been a phrase that has been running through my mind alot lately...I like the idea that the more we "lean in towards Him" the more I feel His comfort and guidance, even when I don't fully understand my circumstances. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these great verses! Have a wonderful July 4th!!

  3. I love the Amplified version of the Bible - and these verses from Proverbs are my *life verses.* My road has been bumpy lately, full of potholes, and confusing twists and turns. Sometimes all I can do is take one step at a time. But as I do, the Lord is there, faithfully lighting the path.

    GOD BLESS!

  5. I just bought my Amplified Bible version and am really loving how it goes deeper into the meaning of the original words in the text. The phrase to "lean on" really stood out to me in this as well as the last sentence which says that He will make my path plain (or obvious)! I'm excited that He wants us to truly know Him and trust Him!

  12. Amen. So true even though we cannot see where we are going, we have to trust that God can and be able to follow his path for us.
